Our History

WAC Corporation was founded in Greenville NC in 1978 by William Handley. William saw a market for professional landscaping and at that time the industry was in its infancy and there were few landscape providers. The business venture has grown over the past 43 years to become one of the largest and well respected landscape contractors in Eastern North Carolina. WAC has grown to become a regional provider of commercial services covering a 20 county region in Eastern North Carolina.

Despite our growth WAC continues to operate with the founding principals William had 43 years ago:

WAC Corporation continues to be family owned and operated as Corey Handley leads the company as president/second generation owner. Growing up in the business Corey has served in all roles in the business and has firsthand experience what team members encounter on a daily basis. William Handley enjoys a slower pace and semi-retirement while serving as vice-president.
